I bought this book because I was researching Muybridge to confirm he stayed in my city for a month or so after he was injured in a grinding stage coach wreck in Indian Territory. Sure enough, all the facts I had were correct. If doctors in Fort Smith, Arkansas hadn't patched him back together we might still be going to the Slide Shows instead of the movies today.
