What attracted me at first to this physically small, 200 page +/- volume was the inclusion of pocket 18% grey cards for measuring incident light exposure and cards to set the white balance of the camera. What made the reading worthwhile was the spare approach to the topics - enough detail to appeal to the novice but with enough content to appeal to the experienced photographer. No more, no less. I was especially attracted to the sections on using Photoshop to achieve certain effects presented as sort of step by step "recipes" as opposed to getting bogged down in a lot of extraneous detail. Small enough to put in your camera bag, a worthy addition to the photographic library.
